Visual Communication & Design
Senior Exhibition Promotion
Each spring semester, the University of Nebraska at Kearney hosts the Senior Visual Communication & Design Exhibition, an event that showcases the work of graduating design students. To ensure a successful and well-attended exhibition, a comprehensive set of promotional materials is required, including event invitations, posters, and a motion graphic display for the gallery wall. For this particular exhibition, the senior students selected a Las Vegas theme, which served as the foundation for the creative direction of all deliverables. By incorporating bold typography, dynamic layouts, and striking visuals inspired by the city's iconic aesthetic, I was able to create a cohesive and compelling promotional campaign that not only reflected the each student’s vision but also enhanced the overall event experience.

To expand on the Las Vegas theme, I designed a custom playing card for each senior design student, incorporating their chosen colors, suits, and personalized elements. These unique cards not only reflected their individual identities and exhibition concepts but also served as personal invitations for friends and family. For broader outreach, the department sent mass invitations to creative agencies, professional designers, and alumni across Nebraska. To unify the promotional materials, I bundled all the cards—along with key event details—into a custom-designed playing card box inspired by the main event poster. Opening the box was meant to offer a preview of the designers, their exhibitions, and other event information, creating an engaging and cohesive introduction to the show that enticed people to attend.
